Our Philosophy

You Art Advisory places the interests of collectors at the center of everything we do. In today’s complex art market, we offer clarity, trusted access, and guidance shaped with care and discernment. We help collectors avoid market risks, overpaying, mis-buying, and acquiring works with limited liquidity, while identifying and curating pieces that carry enduring cultural and long-term value.

Tor us, the value of collecting is never defined by a single acquisition. It lies in how a collection is safeguarded, deepened, and allowed to evolve into an asset of generational significance. Art collecting is a quiet, evolving journey, one strengthened by steady expertise and long-term companionship.

Our Services

We work with an independent perspective grounded in rigorous research, offering guidance that is transparent, objective, and fully aligned with our clients’ long-term goals throughout every stage of the collecting journey.

1. Collection Strategy and Acquisitions

We support collectors in three essential areas:
• Access to rare, off-market and pre-market opportunities
• Filtering market noise to present only works with long-term value
• Avoiding key risks such as overpaying, mis-buying, and limited liquidity

Through long-standing relationships with leading blue-chip galleries, Gagosian, David Zwirner, Christie’s and Sotheby’s, we stay closely informed on major market movements and identify rare opportunities that align with each collector’s long-term goals.

2. Institutional and Museum Liaisons

We assist collectors in building relationships with international art institutions and museums, including loan proposals, donation strategies, and collection placement.
These initiatives enhance the cultural visibility of artworks and create lasting public value for the collection.

3. Private Collectors, Family Offices and Corporate Collections

We provide UHNW collectors, family offices, and corporate clients with comprehensive collection management and structural planning, including:
• Collection review and strategic framework design
• Coordination with legal, tax, and private wealth teams
• Foundation establishment and cultural programme planning
• Succession planning and long-term value strategies

We also work closely with international law firms, top-tier private banks, and wealth management firms to ensure art collections are fully integrated with broader financial, inheritance, and structures.

4. Auction Bidding and Consignments
• Valuations and market analysis
• Bidding and consignment strategies
• Full auction process management
• Negotiation of terms and conditions

Ensuring every sale or acquisition at auction is executed under the most advantageous conditions.

The art market is inherently complex and fast-moving, with the most desirable works often placed before they ever reach the public eye. In such an environment, a professional advisor is not merely a facilitator, but a strategic partner, providing judgment, risk management, and access that individual collectors cannot easily obtain on their own.

Our role is neither commercial nor intermediary, but that of a strategic advisor to collectors:

✔ Collection Strategist

Shaping long-term collection frameworks through art-historical insight, market intelligence, and long-term market significance.

✔ Risk Manager

Conducting full due diligence, to provide a comprehensive assessment of each work.

✔ Source of Rare Opportunities

Identifying pre-market and off-market opportunities, and securing access to works that are often unavailable to individual collectors.

✔ Independent Voice

Unaligned with any gallery or auction house, we provide advice that is objective and guided solely by our clients’ long-term interests.

✔ Curator and Filter of Quality

Filtering the market to present only works of lasting cultural and financial significance.

About Founder

Célia You founded You Art Advisory in London after her tenure at Gagosian, where she advised high-profile collectors and family offices on building significant, long-term collections. Her advisory practice today serves an international clientele across the US, Europe, and Asia, with a focus on rigorous research, strategic guidance, and access to museum-calibre works.

Célia began her career in France after earning a First Class Honours BA in Fine Art and Art History from the École Supérieure d’Art d’Aix-en-Provence (ESAAix). She went on to complete an MA at Central Saint Martins, graduating with First Class Honours, and later an MSc in Marketing from King’s College London, deepening her understanding of the art market’s commercial and structural dynamics.

Early in her career, she contributed to exhibition projects at the Centre Pompidou and the Palais de Tokyo, giving her a perspective that bridges institutional, academic, and market-driven contexts.

Over the years, she has built long-standing relationships of trust with major collectors, family offices, and foundations, placing significant works by Gerhard Richter, Cecily Brown, Helen Frankenthaler, Oscar Murillo, Simon Hantaï,and other leading blue-chip artists into prominent collections.

Her expertise lies in deep market research, access to rare and off-market opportunities, and a sharp understanding of top-tier market risks, that allowing her to offer precise, steady, and strategically informed guidance.
